Logistics Manager
Role and Responsibilities
Our transportation manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the movement of products & staff across various modes of transport.
Key duties include
Strategic Planning:
Developing transportation strategies that align with organizational goals, optimizing routes, and managing fleet operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Operational:
Monitoring daily dispatch operations, scheduling drivers, assigning vehicles, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including DOT compliance, and maintaining safety standards.
Resource Management:
Managing personnel, negotiating contracts with carriers and third-party logistics providers, and overseeing fleet maintenance.
Data Analysis:
Using transportation management systems to track shipments, analyze performance metrics, and implement improvements.
Team Leadership:
Training and supervising staff, fostering a culture of efficiency, safety, and customer service.
Experience:
2-3 years Supervisor/Management
Excellent Communication Skills
Bilingual- Helpful
